Detailed Description

The Vidani Wi-Fi UHF RFID Access Controller (VA-IEMS-WIFI V2-Plus) is an edge-based entry-control unit for parking, industrial gates and managed premises. It reads 96-bit EPC credentials from a connected UHF RFID reader, checks them against a persistent on-device authorization database and activates the access-control output without depending on a live cloud connection. When connectivity is available, timestamped entry events, health heartbeats, configuration commands and credential-list changes are exchanged with the Vidani management platform. A two-line display interface shows welcome, guidance and site-specific messages that can be updated remotely. Local-first access • Fast allow/deny decisions from non-volatile memory holding up to 7,936 EPC credentials. • Access decisions continue when the WAN or cloud connection is unavailable. • Repeated reads of the same tag are suppressed for about 2 seconds to prevent double triggering. Remote credential management • Add, disable and re-enable credentials in bulk – up to 50 per cloud command. • Duplicate prevention; disabled credentials keep their record history and can be restored. Secure connectivity • Integrated dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with automatic reconnection and long-press commissioning button. • MQTT over TLS on port 8883 with a oneM2M-style topic structure; architecture ready for mutual-TLS (certificate-based) authentication.
